BUNCES PASS – Florida

BUNCES PASS – Florida

Bunces Pass is a protected island and part of the Fort Desoto State Park. The only buildings that you will see at Bunces are off in the distance at St Pete Beach. This popular spot is super busy on weekends and holidays. It offers super soft sand and unspoiled grounds. The water is clear and there is plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Boaters back up to the sandbar and anchor for the day. The currents and winds can make this a tricky spot for inexperienced boaters.

Located right across from Shell Key another uninhabited beautiful spot to chill and yes find shells! This pass leads out to the open Gulf of Mexico and is an access point to the intercoastal and Tampa Bay waters. If you are in the area and have boat access or can hit up the North Beach at Fort Desoto you need to check it out!
